Northamptonshire Short Mat Bowls Association
is the recognised governing body of the sport in Northamptonshire. It is affiliated to the English Short Mat Bowls Association (ESMBA) and usually enters two teams into regional Inter County Competitions (ICC) each year. The NSMBA runs a series of Leagues (Evening, Day and Summer) as well as other competitions, in which a good number of our 60+ affiliated clubs take part. We have a currently registered playing membership of more than 600 individuals … but new bowlers are always welcome, so if you’ve never bowled before why not go along to your local club and try it out?
