The Charity Competitions are a valued part of the Northamptonshire Short Mat Bowls Association calendar, combining competitive play with fundraising for good causes. These events bring players together in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, helping to raise money while enjoying the sport. Charity Competition Results

Charity Random Competition – 7 Dec 25

17 teams came together and after 4 rounds of competitive bowling, Harpole and Pytchley competed in the final. After 8 ends the score was 7-7 with Pytchley winning the extra end played. Total amount raised was £467 which will be split between Help for Heroes and Alzheimer’s Society. A massive thank you to everyone involved

Charity Random Competition – 6 Jul 25

An excellent start for our Charity Matches. There was 52 bowlers from various club including some guests playing in teams of four to a very high standard. The eventual winning team was Fred Pearson, Jenny Pearson, Mick Grey and Margaret Jones. The total event for entries and the raffle raised £231 for the Fire Fighters Charity which serves and important part in our community. Next Random is on August 17th.

Charity Random Competition – 18 Aug 24

An excellent turnout of 46 bowlers which saw us enjoying another of our popular Random Competitions. Thanks to all those who helped with organisation, equipment and the raffle. Teams were of fours and divided into two groups and the winners of each group was Bob Clarridge, Chris Ryan, Tim Gunter, Brenda Hart. and Paul D’Inverno, Liz Talbot, Lynne Whitlock, Dave Ekins. We were able to donate £210 to Alzheimers Society our the chosen charity
